Dave Stuebe was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Lutheran education has always been a part of his life. He attended Martin Luther School through eighth grade and then enrolled at Concordia High School in Portland. His Lutheran education continued at Concordia College in Portland before transferring to, and graduating from, Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 1968. Mr. Stuebe’s first call was to teach at Evergreen Lutheran School in Detroit. While at Evergreen, Mr. Stuebe also served as Youth Director, Athletic Director for the school and church, and coach for all the boys teams (football, wrestling, basketball, track, softball). Mr. Stuebe also coached a high school age baseball team in the Mel Ott League. A call was accepted to continue his teaching ministry at St. Paul Lutheran School in Napoleon in 1979 . While at St. Paul, Dave served as Youth Director until 1987. He teaches History and physical education in the 7th & 8th grades and has also coached football, girls basketball and track. Dave and his wife, Patt, were married in 1972 in Detroit. Their son, Michael, and his wife, Kathi, live in Dublin, Ohio along with Dave and Patt's granddaughters Hannah and Leighton. Their daughter, Jennifer, now resides in Elyria, Ohio. Spare time for Dave is spent traveling with Patt to visit family. Running, gardening, and fishing are other activities that he enjoys.
