Tami Sundermann - Fifth Grade

     Mrs. Sundermann was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She attended Lutheran schools from Kindergarten through 8th grade.  She graduated from Wayne High School and received her BA from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa in 1982.  Tami accepted a call in 1983 to teach at St. John Lutheran School in Ft. Wayne.  It was the school where she had attended grades 2-8.  She began teaching part-time pre-school and a variety of subjects in grades 5-8.  She was also working part-time at the Allen County Public Library.  In 1984, she began teaching Kindergarten full time M-W-F in addition to her previous teaching duties.  Tami and Phil were married on November 16, 1985.  They have 2 girls, Jen and Megan.  She worked as a substitute teacher in the public and parochial schools here in Napoleon.  She began working at St. Paul in 1991.  In 2005, she completed the Colloquy Program at Concordia University.  She was installed as a called teacher in January 2006.  She has taught 3rd and 4th grades, and presently has the fifth grade home room.  This year she is teaching departmentalized classes in 4th and 5th grades.  Tami enjoys reading, crafts, and traveling.  She considers their 2000 vacation to the National Parks out west as one of her all time favorite trips.
