Mrs. Bok was born in Defiance, Ohio and attended Napoleon Public Schools. Tanya graduated from Napoleon High School in 1991. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois in 1995.
Tanya’s first teaching job was 7th grade at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Yuma, Arizona. The following year, she taught half day 2nd grade and half day preschool at Grace Lutheran School in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1997, she moved back to Northwest Ohio and worked in customer service at Sauder Woodworking. A year later, she was hired by Holgate Local Schools as the high school Spanish teacher. In 2002 Tanya earned her Master’s of Arts degree in education from Defiance College.
With the birth of her 2nd child in 2002, Tanya decided to stay home with her children. In 2009 she began to substitute at local schools and was hired to teach middle school language arts at St. Paul in 2011.
Tanya is married to Brian and they have 5 children. Elijah, Jordan, Micah and Ruth attend Holgate Local Schools. Sarah spends her days with grandma and grandpa. In her “free” time Tanya enjoys spending time with her family.
