Board of Compensation
Objective:
(From St. Paul's Church Constitution)
The Board
of Compensation shall be responsible for preparing a wage and salary scale to be
included in the annual budget of the congregation.
The Board of Compensation shall:
- Consider job requirements,
duties, length of service and fringe benefits when preparing a salary scale.
- Prepare a remuneration or
compensation schedule for presentation to the Congregational Assembly at the
March meeting.
- Consist of 11 members.
There shall be one representative from the Board of Elders, one from the
Board of Education (School Division), one from the Board of Trustees, one
from the Board of Stewardship, one representative from the teaching staff,
the Vice-President of the congregation, the Financial Administrator, and 4
members-at-large. 2 members-at-large shall be elected each year for a
two-year term of office. A member-at-large may succeed himself for one
additional term.
- Meet in the fall to re-organize for the coming year. This meeting shall
follow the organizational meetings of the Administrative Boards. All
out-going and newly-elected members shall be present to insure a continuity
of planning.
- Meet at least 4 times a
year. The dates and times of these meetings shall appear in official
church publications so that proposals may be referred to the committee and
studied by them before action is taken by the Congregational Assembly.
- One of the four (4)
members-at-large shall serve as the Chairman and one shall serve as the
Secretary. These individuals shall be elected by their fellow board
members at the fall re-organizational meeting. The Chairman shall
also serve as a member of the Parish Planning Council. The Secretary
shall keep a permanent set of minutes of each meeting and such minutes shall
be the property of the congregation. A copy of the minutes shall also
be given to the President of the congregation.
