Mission Statement & Affirmation
"The Mission of St. Paul Lutheran Church is
that we are empowered by God's love to teach and equip all people with Christ's
healing care and peace."
We proclaim that we have died in Baptism and already possess
eternal life through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ! Led
by His Spirit through Word and Sacrament we are committed to the following:
-
acknowledging and accepting the Old and New
Testaments as the revealed and verbally inspired Word of God, and all the
confessional writings of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as found in the
Book of Concord (1580) to be a true and genuine exposition of Biblical
doctrine;
-
growing in the scope and quality of our
caring for people's spiritual, physical and emotional needs;
-
teaching varied Bible studies that disciple
people into growing levels of understanding and commitment to the Christian
life;
-
providing a Christian Day School that makes
disciples of children and their families;
-
celebrating our new life in Christ through
worship that faithfully and creatively proclaims and patterns itself after
God's Word;
-
equipping our members to be witnesses of
Jesus Christ to those people God places around them;
-
challenging our members to obey the Lord in
the sacrificial management of their time, talent, and treasure;
-
creating fellowship opportunities and support
groups for the individual and group needs God places before our
congregation;
-
helping our members realize God's purpose for
their lives and its relationship to His mission for this congregation;
-
accepting each member as God's gift to the
entire congregation, remembering that God is at work in the lives of our
members.
We invite you to worship every week and to get
involved in a service and fellowship group.
