Sunday School
St. Paul's Sunday School program is supervised by the Board of Education (Parish Division). Sunday School classes meet on Sunday mornings from 10:10 - 10:50 a.m. in various classrooms in the school. Classes are held from September through May. Quarterly training sessions are held for experienced and new teachers using a staff handbook to help equip and inform staff of vital Sunday School matters. There is a special "God's Kids" program for young children ages 1-3, (Those turning 3 after September 30th). This is offered especially for parents wanting to assist with the Sunday School or attend a Bible Class during this time slot. In "God's Kids" children participate in learning songs and Bible stories, coloring, and action activities (marching, dancing, etc.) Emphasis is placed on God's love, the beauty of God's creation, and God's special people in the Bible. Traditional Sunday School class is offered for those students in Pre-School through Grade 8. Families, children and youth from Grade 3 also have the option to attend the "Intergenerational Bible Study" which meets from 10:10 - 10:50 in the school cafeteria. St. Paul's Sunday School is also very active in outreach through Mission projects. In the Winter, the Sunday School raised nearly $1000 for the Ohio District's "Hearts For Jesus" ministry which supported a charity. It is you, the members of St. Paul, who make this educational ministry vital and successful. Active parents, leaders, teachers and helpers allow our Sunday School to bring God's Word to a growing number of children, youth, and families. Are you willing to help us achieve our goals? If you believe that God has called you to assist in this special ministry of our church contact any of our Superintendents: Denise McColley, Kelly Behrman (God's Kids), Lori Good, Darla Knipp (Pre-K & K), Joe Meyer, Gary Haase, Paul Eggebrecht (Grades 1-8), or Helen Imbrock (Intergenerational). Contact St. Paul's D.C. E. Josh Gerken or the church office with needs, concerns, suggestions, or any other way that this educational ministry can assist you. |
