History of WTPS 94.1 LPFM
Our Low Power FM radio station (94.1) went on the air in 2004 after receiving a license from the FCC on August 14, 2003. It began with a 400 slot CD changer programmed by the stations creators (Herb Huddle and Roger Jaqua).
The hardware has evolved over the years to now being controlled by a computer that automatically selects the music and inserts station breaks.
We have a system to stream remotely, allowing us to broadcast home basketball games and more from our gym.
94.1 is not a part of St. Paul's operating budget and is run entirely on donations.
